Organized by the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), this 30-minute meeting gave environmental justice and clean water advocates the opportunity to call for a) a maximally public health protective, science-based, and just regulation, as well as b) the OMB’s urgent intervention to ensure that concerning holes in EPA’s proposed rule are filled.

Seven recommendations for financing DC’s lead service line replacement program to prioritize public health, equity, and justice.

Our third recommendation is for statewide and community advisory councils, staffed primarily by affected community members, that have the authority to oversee and influence the proper, equitable, and just implementation of the upcoming LCRI.
